Argentina Medical Visa

Are you moving to Argentina due to some medical emergency? You would definitely require a Medical Visa to enter Argentina.


    For receiving medical treatments in Argentina, a Medical Visa is required which comes under the temporary or transitional category.

    • A valid Passport or travel document
    • Certificate of Argentine criminal records. For applicants who are above 16 years of age, a certificate of no criminal record is required. It is issued by the National Registry of Reoffend or Federal Police in Argentina.
    • Certificate of lack of criminal record. For applicants who are above 16 years of age, a duly apostilled certificate of no criminal record is required from the country where the applicant has lived for more than one year during the last three years.
    • An affidavit of lack of criminal record in other countries. It would be required, at the time of filing the application of residency.
    • Four passport size color photograph, 4 cm by 4 cm with white background.
    • A copy of the domicile certificate.
    • Required Visa fees
    • Medical documents- Medical history of the patient, stating the medical condition and treatment that is to be followed.
    • If the treatment is being carried out at a public hospital in Argentina, then it must be duly signed by the director of the medical institution. However, in case of private clinics, the signature of the doctor or physician must be certified before the Argentine Health Ministry.
    • In case of minors, physically disabled or sick persons who require a person to accompany them owing to their medical state; then the residence, shall be extended to the accompanying family or guardian.

    The residence, to be given in case of Medical Visa, can be temporary or transitional.
