Brazil Pensioners Visa


Foreign pensioners with a minimum monthly income of R$ 6,000 are entitled to this type of visa. For those that have an extra income of at least R$2,000 for a dependent qualifies to get a visa for up to two dependents.

Applications for this type of visa is done at the Brazilian consulate or embassy in one’s home country.

The following is the list of things required for this visa application:

  • Original and valid passport with at least two blank pages
  • 1 recent (not older than 6 months) passport with a white background. You will still have to present your passport picture even if you uploaded it on the application website.
  • Electronic visa application form filled with correct information. Once through, print your application receipt, attach your passport photo on it with glue and put your signature on appropriate filed. Bring the application receipt form and other relevant documents to your Brazilian Consulate. Both parents are required to sign a minor’s application receipt form. Each of the dependent must have their own application forms filled.
  • Certificate of good conduct from police issued within the last 90 days.
  • A statement from the foreign agency issuing the pension and a bank statement declaring the remittance of at least R$ 6,000 per month.
  • Social Security retirement document.
  • A proof of residence from your Consulate General of Brazil.
  • Marriage or birth certificates for the dependents.
